Stakeholder Dialogues

Holding Dialogues with Human Rights Experts

As a part of our human rights due diligence, Morinaga Milk is an ongoing participant in the Stakeholder Engagement Program which was organized by Caux Round Table Japan and which identifies human rights issues in the supply chain.

In 2018, we attended the Business and Human Rights Conference in Tokyo to learn about global trends concerning business and human rights, as well as case studies from other companies.

We further held individual dialogues with overseas experts Livio Sarandrea (United Nations Development Program (UNDP) Bangkok Regional Hub, Business and Human Rights Global Lead and Chief Advisor) and Puvan J Selvanathan (CEO of Bluenumber Foundation) to solicit comments on Morinaga Milk Group's directions for the formulation of human rights policy, and incorporated these expert opinions into our formulation of human rights policy in November 2018.
