Basic Principles

Basic Stance

  1. The Morinaga Milk Group defines well-being as “continuing to live well into the future and to lead healthy and enjoyable lifestyles.” 
  2. We consolidate the elements that contribute to well-being under three headings: Anshin , Wellness, and Happiness. In order to "contribute to healthy and enjoyable lifestyles" for people (customers and others in Japan and overseas) as stated in our Corporate Philosophy, we believe that it is important that we ourselves (all members of the Morinaga Milk Group ) continue to live a better life.
  3. We are able to deliver value unique to our company when all of us demonstrate our individual capabilities. At the same time, we maintain an awareness of the colleagues with whom we work.
  4. Our business grows when we earn the support of others. The results of this are returned to ourselves, making us more fulfilled and able to deliver even greater value.
  5. We seek to achieve this positive cycle of well-being.
  6. We position this statement as an action manifesto that embodies our Corporate Mission.

  2. Through over 6,500 associates, we deliver over eight million products every day in Japan and contribute to the lives of people in over 60 countries.

We aim to create workplaces that are safe in both physical and non-physical aspects,  and to be a company where we can work under a sense of fulfillment both on the job and in private life.

We will continue to support members and our families in valuing physical and mental health.

  1. We will promote health management programs and will maintain and encourage physical and mental health in tune with the health issues of individuals.
  2. We aim to create an environment in which we and our families can easily access our products and services.
  3. We will share accurate information on nutrition and functional ingredients and will provide opportunities for ours and our families to gain interest and insights into personal health.

We aim to be a company in which all members can feel motivation and have pride in work.

We will continue our commitment to the stable supply of safe products and services and to delivering information in easy-to-understand manner.

  1. We will continue to pursue sound corporate activities so that we can continue contributing to people's wellness and happiness.
  2. We will continue to guarantee the safety of the products and services that we provide to our customers and business partners.
  3. We will make every effort toward stability throughout the supply chain.
  4. We will sincerely address feedback from customers, will continue to improve our products and services to provide peace of mind, and will work to ensure transparency and traceability.

We will further commit to the outstanding nutrition of milk and to unique functional ingredients and will contribute to the wellness of people worldwide.

  1. We will build "bridges of nutrition"  to all generations, starting from before birth and throughout life.
  2. We aim to provide our products in many ways and in various countries to reach as many people as possible.
  3. We will undertake educational activities and the provision of products that promote proper nutrition to address issues of malnutrition and overnutrition.
  4. We will provide products that utilize unique functional ingredients to combat a variety of mental and physical concerns.
  5. We will communicate accurate information on nutrition and functional ingredients and will provide opportunities for people to gain interest and insights into their personal health.

  2. We aim to practice diverse communication and offer a product lineup in tune with individuals' life stages and dining preferences.
  3. We will be conscious of “being friendly to future generations” at all stages of products’ life cycles (procurement, manufacturing, consumption, and disposal).
